Meet Dr. James R. Helsabeck, DDS
DR. HELSABECK BIO
Dr. James Robert Helsabeck grew up in Rural Hall. After graduating from Northwest High School, he attended Wake Forest College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1966. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1972. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Helsabeck joined the practice with his father. Dr. Helsabeck is very active in organized dentistry, the community, and his church. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, North Carolina Dental Society, Forsyth County Dental Society, Second District Dental Society, Piedmont Society for Advanced Dental Study, and is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. He has served as President of the FCDS, Second District Dental Society, and PSADS. In the community, he has served as President of the Rural Hall Area Business Association, served on the Board of Directors at the Northwest YMCA, Board of Directors for the Community Partnership for Dental Health, and Board of Visitors at Salem Academy and College. He volunteers at Community Care, Doctors Care, NC Missions of Mercy clinics, Living Waters Clinic, and the NC Baptist Men Dental Bus. He is very active in his church, Rural Hall Moravian and has served on the Board of Directors Mission Society Southern Province of the Moravian Church. He is married and has two daughters and three grandchildren.
